Good Hair Day salon has been proudly serving Northern Virginia since 2003, but was ready for some big changes. Owner Pam Behbahani approached us looking for a fresh image that reflected the way the brand has evolved over the years. She also had big plans to move from her location in a Lorton, Virginia strip mall to a historic building in nearby, Occoquan. Not only was she planning a big move, but she was looking to expand the scope of what her salon offered to include skin treatments, GHD original beauty products, and a curated boutique.
We worked with her to develop a naming system that signaled the change, and landed on keeping her current name with the addition of a descriptive tagline. The salon’s name has a great reputation and it still feels in line with the desired brand traits – honesty, authenticity, and approachability. We then worked through creating a logo and identity system for the brand with those traits in mind. The brand work extended into collateral items such as bags, tissue paper, business cards, appointment cards, signage, and a custom logo wall behind the reception desk. We then took her new brand to the web, and overhauled the UI/UX to make it responsive for mobile platforms and more intuitive to find key information. The new salon is now open for business.
